Lennon–McCartney這個拍檔組合， 是在與Roy Orbison及 Gerry and the Pacemakers的演唱會之後而創作該歌曲，不管在車上或是在酒店休息時都在填詞作曲，大約用了一日的時候完成了歌曲的填詞作曲。
